The packaging of Edle Tropfen in Nuss must meet extensive and stringent requirements to optimally protect this premium product during transportation and storage. The packaging must ensure the safe transport of this delicate treat to the supermarket and to your home, and must guarantee the delicious flavor of the chocolates throughout their shelf life. In this sense, packaging is also an important aspect of preventing food waste. In addition to protecting the product, the packaging has to meet specific criteria in terms of materials and recyclability.
Already Achieved: New Material for Gold plastic tray
We implemented a complex process to replace PET with polypropylene in the production of the gold tray, which allows the tray to be sorted at corresponding recycling plants. The new packaging fully maintains the level of protection of the boxed chocolates. This is essential for Edle Tropfen in Nuss, as it keeps the premium alcohol filling safe and prevents spillage.
Recyclability of the current packaging
The packaging of Edle Tropfen in Nuss is currently 96% recyclable. It consists of four components. Please do your part and dispose of the packaging components correctly. You will also find recycling instructions on the back of the packaging. The independent cyclos-HTP Institute (CHI), which specializes in recyclability, has verified the recyclability of our individual packaging materials.
