EDLE TROPFEN IN NUSS—ENERGY AND EMISSIONS
Taking climate and environmental factors into account is an integral aspect of responsible business conduct.
We operate a certified energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001. We have been purchasing 100% renewable electricity for our production facilities since 2025, and we are continuously working on measures to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
EDLE TROPFEN IN NUSS—PACKAGING
Edle Tropfen in Nuss is a very delicate product. With its melt-in-your-mouth chocolate, crunchy nuts, and liquid center, this premium-quality specialty requires optimum protection during transportation and storage—to ensure the uncompromised enjoyment of these treats for the duration of their shelf life. The primary job of the packaging is therefore to protect the chocolates. But protection isn’t the only important aspect; we also give careful consideration to the materials we use and the recyclability of the packaging. The gold plastic tray that protects the chocolate, for example, is now made of a material that can be sorted at corresponding recycling plants.

We are involved in the cocoa industry as a founding member of the Forum Nachhaltiger Kakao e. V. (German Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa) and as a member of the Association of the German Confectionery Industry (BDSI), through which we also support the Stiftung der Deutschen Kakao- und Schokoladenwirtschaft (German Cocoa and Chocolate Industry Foundation).
